The Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre, Kenagh, Co. Longford.

The Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre, Kenagh, Co. Longford is built on the site of the important road constructed of oak timbers in Corlea Bog during the Irish Iron Age in 148 BC. It is the largest roadway of its type known from prehistoric Europe. An 18m stretch of the roadway has been preserved within the centre. The centre also acts as a base from which to explore the archaeology and ecology of the surroundng peatland landsdcape with guided tours.

The centre is open from 21st April - 28th September: Daily 10:00 - 18:00 and admission is free.
